What a jetted ("Jacuzzi-style") tub install costs versus converting that tub to a walk-in shower – real 2026 cost ranges, not invented tiers.

A jetted (whirlpool) tub installed in an existing bathroom typically runs $2,500–$7,500, averaging about $4,000, before any surrounding tile or vanity work. Converting that same tub space to a walk-in shower instead typically runs $1,500–$15,000, averaging about $3,000 for a basic swap and $6,000–$15,000 for a fully custom, ADA-style roll-in shower. “Jacuzzi” is itself a brand name – one whirlpool-tub maker, not a category – which is part of why cost pages for a “Jacuzzi bath remodel” are really pricing a jetted tub.

That last bar is the point: a “Jacuzzi bath remodel” usually means a jetted tub from any brand, including Jacuzzi® itself, which is one manufacturer’s trademark, not a generic term for a jetted or soaking tub.
A safety question, not just style
The CDC’s review of emergency-department data found an average of about 234,000 nonfatal bathroom injuries treated in U.S. emergency departments each year among people 15 and older, with the injury rate rising sharply with age.
