A dairy farm on one of the highest ridges in Palm Beach County became, in 1956, the golf course at the center of what is now the Village of Golf, a 542-acre community that incorporated the following year specifically to remain its own municipality rather than be annexed by Delray Beach or Boynton Beach. Homes here are arranged around the fairways of the Country Club of Florida, and they tend toward the higher-end finishes and layouts residents expect in a small, exclusive club community.
