What’s now Biscayne Park started as tomato fields in the early 1920s before being platted into a subdivision, incorporated as a town in 1931, and rechartered as a village in 1933. Its tree-lined streets carry a mix of Spanish Mission-style houses and older bungalows, and the village still keeps its original 1933 log cabin as a community building — a reminder that many homes here predate modern hurricane codes and often need the same kind of careful structural and storm-hardening updates.
