Sunrise started in 1961 as a planned golf and retirement community, and developer Norman Johnson even built an upside-down house to draw attention to the undeveloped land, before the 1990 opening of Sawgrass Mills and its surrounding corporate park reshaped the city into a major retail and business hub. That history left Sunrise with real variety in its housing stock, from the original Sunrise Golf Village homes to the condos and townhomes that followed the mall’s growth in neighborhoods like Sawgrass.

Elbaz Construction has worked on both ends of that spectrum, from modernizing an original Sunrise Golf Village home to renovating a condo or townhome near the retail corridor. We manage permitting with the city and, where applicable, with an HOA or condo association, so the process moves as smoothly for a single-family remodel as it does for a unit inside a larger community.
