Discover the Elbaz Difference
El Portal is one of Miami-Dade’s smallest and oldest villages, established in 1937, and it’s built around a genuine piece of local history: a Tequesta Indian burial mound dating back roughly 1,400 years that Miami-Dade County declared a historic landmark in the 1920s. The village’s small lots and older bungalow-style homes reflect its early-20th-century roots, and renovating them usually means working within tight setbacks and modest footprints while bringing aging structures up to current hurricane and building standards.
Elbaz Construction is comfortable working at that scale, planning additions and structural upgrades that make sense on El Portal’s smaller lots without overwhelming the home or the block around it. We handle design, permitting, and construction as one connected process, so even a compact renovation gets the same level of coordination as a much larger project.
