Chef-Grade Kitchen Remodel with Waterfall Quartz Island

This kitchen was rebuilt as a single expansive, open-concept space anchored by an oversized center island. Floor-to-ceiling white shaker cabinetry wraps the entire room, including tall pantry towers flanking the range and stacked upper cabinets that reach the crown molding at the ceiling. White quartz countertops run continuously across the perimeter and the island, where a waterfall-style edge is finished in a contrasting gray band that echoes the island's stone top. Wide-plank engineered hardwood flooring in a warm walnut tone grounds the space and carries through into an adjoining breakfast nook.

The appliance package is built for serious cooking: a professional-style six-burner gas range sits beneath a tall, rivet-trimmed stainless chimney hood, with a wall-mounted articulating pot filler positioned above the cooktop. A Thermador wall oven and a second stainless double oven are built into the surrounding cabinetry, alongside a warming drawer and a built-in beverage cooler tucked into the island. A stainless French-door refrigerator with a built-in water and ice dispenser anchors the opposite wall, and a second prep sink with a commercial-style pull-down faucet sits beneath the corner window, in addition to the main sink and faucet set into the island near the cooktop.

Design details carry the same level of finish throughout. A row of glass-front upper cabinets is lit from within, casting a soft glow along the ceiling line, while LED strip lighting under the cabinets illuminates the backsplash. Three oversized clear-glass globe pendants hang on long chrome rods above the island, which seats four on backless chrome stools. A second waterfall-edge peninsula extends off the main cabinetry run with its own bar seating, opening the kitchen into an adjoining living area finished in a soft sage-green wall color.
