About this project

This project was a complete commercial interior build-out for a walk-up cookie and ice cream shop, taken from bare studs and rough tile-setting to a fully finished, brand-ready storefront. In-progress photos from the job capture the wall assemblies mid-installation — vertical wood-slat panels being fitted section by section with wiring still exposed, and a black subway tile wall going up around what would become the walk-in cooler entry, complete with staged paint buckets and material boxes on the floor. That same wall reappears finished a few frames later: crisp black subway tile with contrasting grout, a stainless steel cooler door with a vision window, and a custom pink neon "Cookies Loading..." sign mounted above it.

The centerpiece of the finished space is a floor-to-ceiling black fluted wood-slat wall that wraps the full length of the customer area, paired with a black-painted suspended ceiling grid and recessed can lighting accented by small violet pendant fixtures. Running the length of that wall is a long black stone-topped standing counter on slim black metal legs, giving guests a spot to wait or eat standing up. A vintage-style red Coca-Cola display cooler stocked with bottled and canned beverages sits against the slat wall, and three large wall-mounted digital menu boards display the shop's cookie, ice cream sandwich, milkshake, and signature cookie offerings in place of printed menus.

Toward the service counter, the finish work shifts to a mix of black subway tile, a wood-toned base cabinet, and glass bakery display cases stocked with cookies and cakes for pickup. A self-order kiosk sits near the entrance for app-based ordering, and a painted wall mural with custom illustrated characters, stars, and an "It's Lit" light-up sign gives the brand its own identity inside the space. Black commercial-grade rubber flooring and stainless steel reach-in refrigeration units round out the back-of-counter finishes, tying the whole build together as a single cohesive concept from the kitchen equipment to the customer-facing walls.
