Modern New Construction Home with Private Waterfront Dock

This ground-up build brought a modern, two-story home to life on a canal-front lot in South Florida. The completed shell shows a bold architectural language: a flat, deeply cantilevered roofline finished in bright white stucco, floor-to-ceiling impact-rated window walls (still wrapped in their factory protective film at this stage), and a boxy upper-level volume that projects out over the entry below. Dark bronze-toned aluminum frames anchor the glass against the crisp white facade, and a full-height glass sliding door system opens the rear of the home directly toward the water.

Inside, the build was documented at the drywall and rough-in stage: taped and floated walls, a full layout of recessed can lighting, and a double-height great room anchored by a wall of glass overlooking the canal. A mezzanine-level landing overlooks the great room below, and a steel-and-wood staircase structure was being framed in to connect the two floors — an early look at the open, light-filled layout the finished home is built around.

The scope extended beyond the house itself to the waterfront: a new poured-concrete dock was built along the seawall, complete with mooring pilings, composite decking, and a boat lift ready for use. Paired with the home's water-facing glass walls and rear balcony, the new dock ties the construction directly into the canal-front lifestyle the property was designed around.
